Nikki Maybee
Bio
Nikki Maybee is the owner and founder of Salon Simply Beautiful, one of the most innovative salons in the Detroit Metro area.
Nikki has honed her skills training with the industry’s most elite educators and remains dedicated to continuing education. Armed with technical expertise, passion, and over 20 years of experience, Nikki can take a client’s vision and bring it to life! With thorough consultation and appreciation for her client’s lifestyle, preferences, and individual features, Nikki is able to customize hair care solutions that are modern and simply beautiful.
In 2009, Nikki pursued her dream of establishing her own salon. Her goal was to create a beautiful, relaxing environment staffed with top-notch stylists devoted to total customer care. As a result, Salon Simply Beautiful came to be and is now a respected name in the beauty industry. The salon is now a frequent destination for clients traveling from both near and far.
Nikki is a strong supporter of continuing education and is a member of both the Professional Beauty Association and National Cosmetology Association and serves as a Beacon Award judge when requested. Nikki is also a certified Brazilian Blowout Educator.
Nikki is not your average hairdresser. Giving back to the community has always been one of her top priorities. With the support of the salon’s many equally caring clients and staff, she has raised funds for breast cancer, Locks of Love, and numerous community schools and organizations. The annual Salon Simply Beautiful “Pink Party” Breast Cancer Fundraiser has become a “standing room only” event that has featured nationally renowned speakers. During the pandemic Nikki has encouraged vaccine awareness through the nationally organized "Shots at the Shop" initiative.
Nikki balances the demands of her profession with equal devotion to her family and friends. Blend with ample portions of salsa dancing and Prince, and you have the recipe for the perfect life!

LaTrece Wynn
Bio
Starting off as a self-taught nail technician came with many challenges. LaTrece knew the only way to be successful in her career was to get her Manicurist License. With hard work and dedication, LaTrece received her license in 2013. With years of experience and completion of numerous advanced training courses, LaTrece positioned herself to open her own business, Truly Beautiful Nailz. She continuously strives to stay on the cutting edge of her craft, traveling nationally to learn the latest techniques and seek out the newest product technology advancements.
LaTrece’s beautiful results reflect her love and passion for her nail art and one of a kind jelly pedicures with her clients traveling from far and near to enjoy their Truly Beautiful Nailz experience.
LaTrece’s work has been featured by Young Nails, Tammy Taylor, Poochize Nailz and many more nail techs. LaTrece’s incredible talents have not gone unnoticed. She recently received regional recognition winning Channel 4’s Vote for the Best contest 1st place award for best Manicure and Pedicure.
LaTrece wanted to not only share her love for nails but share her love and passion for all natural body care and luxury candles. In 2014 she started to making body cream for her clients to fill a void in the current market. It was nothing on the market that catered to her clients. Loving the result of her product she grew into making candles that gives everyone a Beautiful Experience. LaTrece journey in the nail career is taking a new path as she now a nail Instructor ready to spread her knowledge with the new generation of Nail Techs!!

Shannon Forrest
Bio
Shannon Leigh is a self-taught, Douglas J. Aveda-trained, daughter of a hairstylist. She is a Detroit native, based in and serving the metro area. Shannon's mother encouraged her to turn her “Kitchen Beautician" side-hustle into a career.
She never saw doing hair as a job because it was something that came so natural to her. After challenging herself and succeeding through beauty school, she immediately started working as an assistant. Licensed since February 2010 and proud to have reached 10 years in the beauty industry, she is a professional artist with her own chair at Salon Simply Beautiful. Shannon is not only a beauty artist, but rather, an independent contractor/freelance artist, a multifaceted artist doing both hair and makeup, a female entrepreneur, a black small business owner, and a sole proprietor (among many other things).
Lashed by Shannon Leigh Beauté is the first product line to be launched by Shannon Leigh. The first collection consists of 8 different styles and is catered towards women who love a bold lash that's not too dramatic for a soft glam look.
The beauty industry can be intimidating at times, but what keeps Shannon Leigh going is knowing that there is always a place for the artist who stays humble and true to their esthetic.

Like a breath of fresh air, Alena has brought her youthful and creative energy to Salon Simply Beautiful. Learning both the technical and practical skills needed in today’s salons she graduated with honors from Paul Mitchell Academy. She started as the salon assistant at Salon Simply Beautiful and mentored as a stylist under Nikki. She has built her own loyal and growing clientele base. Alena is skilled in all hair types she specializes in natural hair, hair cutting, creative hair coloring, and brow shaping. Alena is also a Brazilian Blowout certified stylist. Looking for a new stylist try the “Lena Nicole Experience”.

Errica is a veteran in the industry, with over 25 years of experience. She is one of metro Detroit’s well known and loved stylist! Her clients come from near and far.
She is dedicated to help her clients meet their expectations and provide them with excellent customer service.
Errica specializes in precision haircuts, short hair, natural hair, relaxers and silk presses! As our newest team member, with her experience and refined customer focus, she has been a welcomed addition to our salon team.
